Fully sun-grown, mild and sun-dried, this coffee has good body and medium acidity reminiscent of candied fruit, ripe plums and dried dates, complemented by dark chocolate and raisins in the aftertaste.
Colombia is known for its excellent coffees all over the world. The Huila region has a combination of excellent soil and geographical location for coffee growing. The humid subtropical climate, altitude of around 1 700 metres, high rainfall and volcanic soil help to produce some of the most complex coffees with fruity characteristics. There are more than 70 000 coffee growers in Huila, covering more than 16 000 hectares of land, or 160 square kilometres.
